Amarok For Windows!!!!!!!

Posted by smanofsteel76 on April 29, 2007

Last night, I came across a blog post from the Amarok team on Netscape.com.  It appears as if they are working on Amarok for Windows.  I am very happy about this.  Part of the reason I love Ubuntu so much is because of Amarok.  Unfortunately, I am having a hard time switching over to Ubuntu from Windows and having Amarok in Windows would help ease the pain.  I look forward to downloading this once its available.  Keep up the good work Amarok team!

Jury Duty This Week!

Posted by smanofsteel76 on April 25, 2007

I had jury duty yesterday and I know that I have to go back at least one more day. Unfortunately, I can’t discuss the case but I hope I am selected. I will be happy to perform this civic duty. This would be a real life Law and Order!

Clark And Lex Duke It Out!

Posted by smanofsteel76 on April 22, 2007

Just wanted to post an update about Smallville.  Last nights episode was great and it featured Linda Carter as Chloe’s mom.  Does that mean Chloe will become Wonder Woman?  Anyway, next week’s preview looks awesome.  Looks like Clark and Lex finally get to duke it out.  Fun stuff!

Edgardo Is Gone!

Posted by smanofsteel76 on April 20, 2007

Tonight’s Survivor: Fiji was definitely interesting.  It was very interesting to see all of the plotting and backstabbing that this episode had plenty of.  Dreamz is, in my opinion, the biggest of all the backstabbers.  He was in two alliances but finally settled on his alliance with Earl, Cassandra, Yau Man, and Stacy.  In that particular alliance, they all decided to vote for Mookie because they were informed by Dreamz, the backstabber, that Mookie gave the hidden immunity idol to Alex.  After that, they weren’t sure if they should trust Dreamz, so the alliance decided to change and vote for Edgardo.  This was a smart move on their part because now I believe Dreamz is exposed as the backstabber he is.  I do not read spoilers, but I have this feeling that Dreamz will be voted out next episode for all his treacherous behavior.  Well, the other alliance, dubbed “the four horseman” with Alex, Mookie, Edgardo, and Dreamz, targeted Cassandra and if Dreamz would not have betrayed them there would have been a tie.  Well, needless to say this episode was very interesting.  Now I am hoping that next week Dreamz will be held accountable for his actions.  If I had to make a guess as to who the winner will be, and again I do not read spoilers, I would put all my money on Yau Man.  He is the one that seems to have an edge right now.  But as we all know, anything is possible in this game.   Stay tuned until next week.

Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn Released!!

Posted by smanofsteel76 on April 19, 2007

Right now as I type this, I am downloading the new version of Ubuntu.  If it lives up to the previous betas then I have a feeling this will be a very solid release.  The things I am looking forward to is being able to import my Windows settings, installing Beryl, listening to my music with Amarok, and much more.  More on this later!

Drive Is A Fast And Furious Ride!

Posted by smanofsteel76 on April 17, 2007

During the last two nights, Drive premiered on FOX.  This show is filled with fast-paced twists and turns that leave you interested in what’s going to happen next.  Just about the only roadblock for this show is the fact that it seems unrealistic, but that doesn’t make the show any less interesting.  I can’t wait to see how this show unfolds and I give it two thumbs up!

Merge, Twists, And Goodbye Michelle!

Posted by smanofsteel76 on April 13, 2007

Tonights episode of Survivor brought the inevitable merge and in a twist took place on Exile Island.  When the castaways arrived they found new buffs and were directed to go back to Moto beach.  Unfortunately when they arrived, all the luxuries they were expecting were gone in another twist.  I thought this was a good move for the show because now they will all be playing the real game of Survivor.  During the immunity challenge, they were randomly split into two teams and the Orange team won which meant that the Green team went to tribal council.  In yet another twist, they had to go to tribal council immediately, which meant no strategizing.  The five voted Michelle out and Mookie didn’t use his immunity idol…which was a good move because he didn’t need it.  Does this show get any better than this?

Jericho Secrets

Posted by smanofsteel76 on April 13, 2007

I was very happy that they decided to finally divulge some secrets about Hawkins.  Yesterday’s episode shed some light about what side he is on and his roots.  I can’t wait to see more of this wonderful show!
