I have an appointment later in Orland Park and I had some time to kill so I was dropped off here in Oak Lawn at my sisters house. I am enjoying using her computer and watching the dogs sleep. Fun fun!!!

I just got in from taking Minnie for an extended walk. Its almost 40 degrees outside. What a difference from last few weeks…unfortunately this mini heat wave isn’t going to last. Well, I am enjoying it for today at least!

Ubuntu! Linux For Humans!

I want to take this opportunity to say something about this world where Microsoft Windows is king. If there was ever a Linux distribution that could take on the popularity of Windows, Ubuntu is it. Last year, I almost switched and now I am thinking about it again. Ubuntu is in my opinion the best desktop Linux ever. I can do everything that I can do in Windows with one major difference…it’s free. I highly recommend trying it out!

Prison Break running again!

Prison Break started up again tonight on FOX. It continued where it left off and they have a new ally in their fight against the company. There is dramatic turn at the end…but I can’t spoil it for those who haven’t seen the show yet. I am excited and I can’t wait for next week to see what happens. That is one thing about the show…you keep wanting more!

Heat For Now

Well, we have managed to capture some heat here in the condo. The heating guys supposedly turned the heat down in the other condos and the heat went up in here. I am also wondering if its because it got warmer outside. I’ll guess we’ll see when the temperature goes down into the teens again. But for now I will enjoy the heat.

Casino Royale

Last night, I went to see Casino Royale. I thought it was the best James Bond movie I ever saw. I liked Daniel Craig as the new James Bond. The icing on the cake was the Chris Cornell theme song, “You Know My Name.” I give it 5 stars.
Beforehand, Jeff and I went to Oak Brook Center Mall and afterwards we ate at Denny’s in Oak Brook. Today, we went to Fox Valley and walked around and ate at Panera. This was a weekend filled with shopping!

Today, the first episode of CSI: with Liev Schreiber was on. Does anyone remember when he played Cotton Weary in the Scream movies?
In other news, the heat saga at home has been long. However its finally a little warmer, thanks to the space heater that the heating company provided until they replace the valve. Will this ever end?
